Authentic Seacoast Company Officially Opens New Businesses

The Authentic Seacoast Company officially opening their new businesses on the Guysborough harbour this past weekend with a grand opening celebration for the Skipping Stone Cafe & Store, Full Steam Coffee Company and Harbour Belle Bakery.

The grand opening festivities included the First Annual Authentic Seacoast Skipping Stone Contest, an official ribbon cutting ceremony with Guysborough-Sheet Harbour MLA Jim Boudreau and the Warden of the Municipality of the District of Guysborough (MODG), Lloyd Hines, as well as an official cake cutting and tasting of the Full Steam Coffee Company blends.

"This was an exciting day for the Authentic Seacoast Company," said Glynn Williams, Proprietor of the Authentic Seacoast Company. "It was a great opportunity to bring the community and our team together to celebrate our vision to restore the proud trading tradition of this historic community by producing quality food and beverage products here in Guysborough for sale throughout Nova Scotia and across Canada. The enthusiasm for what we are working to achieve is truly heartwarming."

"I am very pleased with the opening as this is another step forward for the Authentic Seacoast Company and its unique brand of products," said Jim Boudreau, MLA for Guysborough-Sheet Harbour. "Glynn, his wife Charlene, his family and all the members of his team are to be congratulated on this accomplishment. I look to the near future for more of the same from this dynamic group of companies and its creative leadership."

"The rebirth of our Municipality continues with the opening of these new businesses in the Shiretown," said Lloyd Hines, Warden of MODG. "The great trading history of our people lives on as these goods are distributed to the world. We are blessed to have an investor like Glynn Williams who believes in the opportunity and the people."

The festivities drew a large crowd to the picturesque Guysborough harbour despite the rain. The grand opening celebrations wrapped up in the evening, when the Authentic Seacoast Company proprietor's band, The Binder Brothers, took the Rare Bird Pub & Eatery stage.
