Nova Scotia Inn Toasts Fifth Consecutive Wine Spectator Award of Excellence

Nova Scotia's DesBarres Manor Inn toasted another recent accolade as the award-winning inn on the secluded Eastern Shore received its fifth consecutive Award of Excellence from the prestigious Wine Spectator magazine.

DesBarres Manor Inn was one 2,870 restaurants in 11 countries to earn the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2013. The awards "recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wine range of wine lovers." With more than150 wine wine selections, including 28 from Nova Scotia on their list, DesBarres Manor Inn's wine selection reflects the restaurant's desire to pair both local and international wines with their regionally influenced East Coast cuisine.

"We're honoured by Wine Spectator's continued recognition of our culinary program at DesBarres Manor Inn," said Authentic Seacoast Company Proprietor Glynn Williams. "We provide an authentic culinary experience on the road less travelled in Nova Scotia and this award will help people discover our unique destination."

DesBarres Manor Inn was also recently recognized by Canoe Travel as one of nine of the most romantic hotels in Canada.
